From a housewife to a master hawker, Mdm Chua has been in the trade for over 15 years selling her specialty handmade noodles. Started out as a hawker selling fried noodles, she finds it difficult to cope with the large crowd hence Mdm Chua switch from selling fried noodles to handmade ban mian and mee hoon kuay after sourcing for a business partner.
Mdm Chua's daily routine starts from 3am where she prepares her noodles and ingredients for the day. Although her noodles always get sold out before noon, she would have to start preparing her ingredients for the next day.
It took her 3 years to perfect her skills before her stall was able to flip a decent profit margin. Mdm Chua believed in the strategy of "charging lesser and selling more" which explains why she had never raised her food prices in the 15 years, although the cost prices have raises significantly.
